BEGINNER LEVEL:

There are no prerequisites for this level. Each student will learn "Horseworks 101"; I.D. of horse breeds and colors, grooming, tack and basic horse care. This level will consist of walking, trotting, and beginner jumping skills.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:

Riders should be secure jumping 18" at the trot. Each student will improve their intermediate equitation skills on the flat and over fences, gymnastics and will be taught "horseworks 201".

Additional activities will include crafts.

OTHER INFORMATION

Monday: Check-in 9-10am

Tuesday - Friday: Camp will begin at 9:00am til 5:00pm (early drop-off available)

• All campers will have the opportunity to ride skill appropriate horses/pones at least twice per day.
• Paddock boots or any boot with a heel and approved helmets are REQUIRED. Chaps are optional.
• Long pants are recommended for riding. An extra change of clothes and socks, including shorts, should be brought each day.
• Campers are to pack their own lunch (microwave and refrigerator are available). A mid-day snack and bottled water will be provided. All personal items should be labeled with the rider's name.

Note: A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for all registrants. Upon completion of the pre-registration form, please send a check made to Westwind ETC at 1201 Disco Loop Rd, Friendsville, TN 37737. Email confirming receipt of forms and payment will be sent.

DIRECTIONS (Print directions)

From Lenoir City - take Hwy 321 towards Maryville. Go approx. 5-1/2 miles and take Unitia Rd north (left). Go approx. 4 miles and turn left at "The Pup Tent" onto Disco Loop Rd. The Westwind expansion is the FIFTH driveway on the right. Look for signs.

From Maryville - Take Hwy 321 towards Lenoir City. Turn right onto Unitia Road (north). Go approximately 4 miles and turn left onto Disco Loop Road. Westwind is the 2nd driveway on the right.

From I-75 - take the Lenoir City exit. Turn onto Hwy 321 towards Maryville. Go approximately 5-1/2 miles and turn left onto Unitia Road (north). Go approximately 4 miles and turn left onto Disco Loop Road. Westwind is the 2nd driveway on the right.

From Knoxville - take Pellissippi Pkwy (I-140) to Topside Road. Turn right onto Topside (also known as Hwy 333). Topside will dead-end, turn right. Again, Hwy 333 will dead-end, turn right again. Drive approximately 2.5 miles, turn right onto N. Morgan Rd (there is a school zone caution light at the corner of N. Morgan). At the end of N. Morgan, turn right onto W. Hill. At the second Disco Loop Rd (look for "The Pup Tent") turn right. The Westwind expansion is the second barn entrance on the right. Look for signs.
